Taika Waititi, the director of “Thor 3 and 4”, recently revealed the idea of his new project, a new ‘Star Wars’ movie, in a media interview. Taika Waititi said his ‘Star Wars’ movie will focus on a brand new cast and that he aims to expand the ‘ Star Wars’ universe.
Taika Waititi explains that his goal was not to make a work that relied on an established Star Wars setting, because that wouldn’t really allow the ‘Star Wars’ series to grow.
I think if you want to expand the ‘Star Wars’ universe, you have to expand it,” he said. I don’t think it makes any sense to make a movie where everyone says, ‘Great, that’s Millennium Falcon’s blueprint, that’s Chewbacca’s grandmother. These films must all be independent of each other. I wanted to make something new, create some new characters, expand the world, otherwise it felt like a very small story.”
Taika Waititi said in August last year that the story of his ‘Star Wars’ movie was already set in stone, in line with his own signature style.
The new ‘Star Wars’ movie is expected to be released at the end of 2023, but the current public news is very little, the cast, story synopsis, film name, etc., nothing, the film is also likely to be delayed in the release.
