A live-action series of the same name based on Sony’s Naughty Dog’s popular game “The Last of Us” is in the works and is expected to begin broadcasting in 2023.
Actor Joel’s actor Pedro Pascal said in a recent interview that he hadn’t played the series, in part because he didn’t want to imitate the game’s Joel too much and wanted to play a different role in the adaptation.
In an interview with GQ Magazine, Pascal was asked about his familiarity with the “The Last of Us” series of games.

When he first tried the game, he realized he didn’t have the skills needed to play the game (it was just too bad), so he handed the controller to his nephew.
He watched his nephew play for a while that day, but other than that, he hadn’t paid much attention to the game.
“I was so impressed with Joel, the game gave me an unforgettable visual experience. Then I started to worry that I was over-impersonating the game characters, which I thought was true in some cases and false in others Yes. So I wanted to keep the right distance and how to master the character was directed by film writer Craig Mazin and game writer Neil Druckmann.”
Looks like Joel’s actor doesn’t know he’s going to be headshot by a golf club in the future…
