Warner Media head Ann Sarnoff hinted in an interview that “Dune” will have a sequel, “If you see the end of the movie, you should know if there will be a sequel.”
This answer basically confirms the existence of the “Dune” sequel.
Because “Dune” was originally planned to be adapted into two parts, the first part is only half of the story.
The director Denis Villeneuve also talked about the topic of the sequel many times in the interview before, and said that the script creation of the sequel has already begun.
