According to media reports, Warner Bros. wants to work with “Joker” director Todd Phillips to explore more outstanding movies.
The movie “Joker”, released in 2019, cost $80 million and made $1 billion at the worldwide box office, and fans and professional critics have given the movie a high rating.
But in contrast, in the face of the failure of other IP movies, Warner Bros. is looking for a new leader for DC Films, and there is no doubt that Phillips is the perfect candidate.
According to media reports, Warner Bros. wants Phillips to not only focus on the creation of “Joker 2”, but also to be more involved in other DC film projects.

And Zaslav also previously expressed the hope to find a role like MCUKevin Feige.
It was revealed that he was communicating with Phillips, inviting him to do more in the DC field, “without taking on an executive role, Phillips could serve as a consultant on multiple films.
