British actor Zara Phythian and her husband Victor Marke have been sentenced to eight and 14 years in prison respectively for child sex crimes.
Last week, Nottingham Crown Court found Marke, 59, guilty of 18 counts and Phythian, 37, guilty of 14 child sex offences.
The court found Marke and Phythian abused a girl, aged 13-15, on several occasions between 2005 and 2008, and Crown Prosecutions said the pair, who were not married at the time, had sex with her on multiple occasions.
In addition, Marke molested another girl, who was 15 at the time, in 2002-2003.
Judge Mark Watson said Marke was the initiator of the sexual assaults and that Fisher was under his influence, leading to unusual behaviour.
The couple met because the man served as the woman’s martial arts instructor, and the woman entered the film and television industry as an actor and action stunt performer.
