The preview of Pedro Almodóvar’s new film “Madres paralelas”(Parallel Mothers), which was shortlisted for the main competition of the 78th Venice Film Festival.
“Madres paralelas” tells the story of two mothers who are about to give birth to live together in a hospital ward.

One is Janis (Penélope Cruz), who is about to enter middle age. Despite an unexpected pregnancy, she is ecstatic about the arrival of a new life.
Another young Ana (Milena Smit) feels anxious, scared, and even full of traumatic emotions in the face of her mother’s life she never imagined.

When the two of them walked slowly through the corridor of the hospital and pour each other’s emotions like sleepwalking, Janis tried to encourage Ana, and made them form a close connection during the chat.
And such a relationship will decisively change their lives.
The film festival will be held from September 1st to 11th this year. “Madres paralelas” will be screened in Spain on September 10th.
