Amanda Peet (“Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story”) joins the series “Fatal Attraction”, which also stars Lizzy Caplan (“Masters of Sex” “Castle Rock”) and Joshua Jackson (“The Affair” “Fringe”).
“Fatal Attraction” is based on the 1987 psychological thriller film of the same name starring Michael Douglas and Glenn Close, produced by Paramount+.
A deep reimagining of the film, the show will explore timeless themes: marriage and infidelity through modern-day portrayals of strong women, personality disorders, and coercive control.
Alexandra Cunningham (“Desperate Housewives” “Chance”) served as writer, operator, and executive producer, and Kevin J. Hynes (“Scorpion” “Perry Mason”) participated in the creation.
Peet plays Beth Gallagher, a devoted wife, loving mother and successful small business entrepreneur whose world begins to crumble when her husband Dan (Jackson)’s indiscretion threatens their lives.
Anne Archer played Beth in the original film, and she was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe.
