Amazon boss Jeff Bezos attended the premiere of ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 1’ in London. During his speech, he revealed that his son, who is a fan of the books, had warned him to “not spoil” the classic series.
Bezos said his children are also fans of the ‘The Lord of the Rings’ series, and one of his sons is considered an expert in the field.
“After Masson got involved in this project, my son came to me one day and he looked me in the eye and was very sincere and he said, ‘Dad, please don’t do this.’ And he was right. We know the world of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ is important to many people, we know it’s a privilege to work for that world, and we know it’s a great responsibility.”
The plot is set thousands of years before the stories of ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’, telling the origin of ‘Rings of Power’ before ‘the one ring’, with a budget of $465 million, known as the most expensive American drama ever, the first season of eight episodes.
‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ is directed by J.A. Bayona and Wayne Yip, and stars Lenny Henry, Peter Mullan, Cynthia Addai-Robinson and others.
‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ will be released in theaters on September 2.
