Former Dear Evan Hansen star Andrew Barth Feldman has landed a leading role in Sony’s new R-rated comedy film, ‘No Hard Feelings’. Feldman will play opposite Jennifer Lawrence in the picture directed by Gene Stupnitsky.
The film is set to debut on June 16, 2023 and was written by Stupnitsky and John Phillips. Lawrence, Alex Saks, Marc Provissiero, Naomi Odenkirk, and Justine Polsky will produce.
Andrew Barth Feldman is the winner of the Best Actor Award at the 2018 National High School Musical Theatre Awards (known more commonly as the Jimmy Awards).
He made his Broadway debut in the title role in Dear Evan Hansen. Feldman starred as Linguini in a benefit concert presentation of Ratatouille the Musical, originated on TikTok, inspired by the 2007 Disney/Pixar film.
After closing his role in Dear Evan Hansen, Andrew Barth Feldman would move into a double role as Han Solo/Darth Vader in SW: A New(sical) Hope at 54 Below in New York City.
According to BroadwayWorld, Andrew Barth Feldman’s most recent role was as Alfredo Linguini in Ratatouille: the Musical, a benefit concert that originated on TikTok.
In addition to his theatrical roles, Feldman has some experience in television, including a brief role in Stars in the House (2020) and a guest role as Antoine in season 2 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series on Disney+.
With No Hard Feelings still in development with Sony, the exact details of the film’s plot are being kept under wraps for the moment, but Deadline describes it as “an R-rated film with a heart.”
Jennifer Lawrence, fresh out of her role as Afghan war veteran Lynsey in Causeway (2022), has been confirmed to be starring in the new romance, and will likely be starring in the lead role.
No Hard Feelings was written by Gene Stupnitsky (Good Boys) and John Phillips (Dirty Grandpa). Stupnitsky doubles as the film’s director while Phillips executive produces and Lawrence, Alex Saks, Marc Provissiero, Naomi Odenkirk, and Justine Polsky serve as producers.
Sony has No Hard Feelings, starring Andrew Barth Feldman and Jennifer Lawrence, set for an expected release date of June 16th, 2023.
