Andrew Garfield will star in the new limited series ‘Hot Air’ as Richard Branson, the famous British “madman” billionaire and founder of Virgin Atlantic Airways, who is known for his maverick flights over the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean.
Last year’s successful test flight of the VSS Unity spacecraft made him the first founder of a commercial space enterprise and the second oldest astronaut to go into space.
‘Hot Air’ is directed by ‘John Wick’ ‘Deadpool 2’ ‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw’ director David Leitch, written by Jon Croker (‘Paddington 2’), and executive produced with Garfield as executive producer.
The series is based on the book “Dirty Tricks” by investigative journalist Martyn Gregory and consists of six episodes, with several streamers currently vying for the project.
Dirty Tricks” focuses on the secret war between Virgin Atlantic Airways and British Airways, which Branson started with a leased plane in 1984 and by 1990, Virgin Atlantic Airways had By 1990, Virgin Atlantic Airways had begun to threaten British Airways’ share of the British market.

Branson filed a lawsuit and the case was settled on the eve of trial, with British Airways apologizing to Virgin Atlantic Airways and making restitution.
