Batman’s new animated series ‘Batman: Caped Crusader’ has been cancelled by HBO Max. The platform, which had officially booked the show over a year ago, has stopped development and the show will continue production and look for a new home.
This decision is naturally part of the recent huge changes at HBO Max and Warner Bros. Discovery.
‘Batman: Caped Crusader’ comes from Bruce Timm, who created the classic animated series ‘Batman’, with Jeffrey Jacob Abrams and ‘The Batman’ director Matt Rivers also serving as executive producers.
It is said it “will use high-tech animation technology to focus on the story of Batman and his famous band of villains, and will create a world with stunning graphics, including a complex narrative, richly detailed characters and tense action sequences”.
