Bleecker Street has won the U.S. distribution rights to “Emily,” a biopic of Emma Mackey starring British writer and poet Emily Bronte, which is scheduled to hit theaters next year, with Warner Bros. in charge of the U.K. distribution.
“Emily” by Fionn Whitehead(“Dunkirk”), Oliver Jackson-Cohen(“The Haunting of Hill House”), Alexandra Dowling(“Game of Thrones”), Amelia Gething(“The Spanish Princess”), Gemma Jones( “Harry Potter” series), Adrian Dunbar (“Line of Duty”), etc.
Directed and written by Frances O’Connor (“Madame Bovary”), it follows Bronte’s transformative and inspiring journey to femininity as a world-renowned, mysterious and passionate author.
