Bleecker Street has won the U.S. distribution rights to “Emily,” a biopic of Emma Mackey starring British writer and poet Emily Bronte, which is scheduled to hit theaters next year, with Warner Bros. in charge of the U.K. distribution.

Directed and written by Frances O’Connor (“Madame Bovary”), it follows Bronte’s transformative and inspiring journey to femininity as a world-renowned, mysterious and passionate author.
