The horror film ‘Smile’ Northern America continued to perform better than expected at the box office in its second week of release, with a total of $17.6 million over three days last weekend, continuing to occupy the top spot at the box office.
The film’s Northern America box office accumulated 49.89 million, 40 million in other regions, a total of 89.89 million worldwide, costing 17 million.
The film stars Sosie Bacon, Jessie Usher, Kyle Gallner, Caitlin Stasey, Kal Penn, Rob Morgan and was written and directed by Parker Finn.
Based on his short film ‘Laura Hasn’t Slept’, ‘Smile’ tells the story of Dr. Rose Cotter who, after witnessing a patient’s bizarre traumatic experience, begins to experience horrific events that she cannot explain.
When a chilling and terrifying force begins to take over her life, Rose must confront her disturbingly dark past in order to survive and escape her new, fear-filled reality.
