Chris Evans joins Emily Blunt in the lead role and David Yates (‘Harry Potter’ ‘Fantastic Beasts’ series) directs the new film ‘Pain Hustlers’ as co-star.
Netflix recently picked up the film at this year’s Cannes Film Festival for more than $50 million, with a script written by writer Wells Tower and shooting starting in August this year.
Described by director Yates as similar in style to ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ X ‘The Big Short’, the film follows high school dropout Liza Drake as she takes a job at a faltering upstart pharmaceutical company in Central Florida in order to make a better life for herself and her young daughter.
Her charm and drive quickly skyrocket the company, but soon she also finds herself at the center of a criminal conspiracy that will invite deadly consequences.
