The Netflix sci-fi thriller starring Chris Hemsworth has been released from the press. Currently, ‘Spiderhead’ Rotten Tomatoes has a fresh rating of 57% (21 reviews) and an overall MetaCritic score of 55/100 (17 reviews).
The film, directed by ‘TRON: Legacy’ ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ director Joseph Kosinski and co-starring Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett, will be available online on June 17.
Based on a short story by George Sanders, the story follows a forward-thinking genius warden (Chris Hemsworth) who conducts experiments in his extremely advanced prison to use mind-altering drugs on inmates.
Here the two prisoners confront their past and develop a friendship.

‘Variety’: Kosinski is a talented director whose strength is blending human elements with complex visual effects, but he’s not suited to making this kind of comedy; his design direction is completely wrong and the whole execution doesn’t work.
Screen Rant: There are no particularly original parts to either the story or the filmmaking level, but the film shows that there are plenty of stories worthy of talented filmmakers to explore.
Collider’: Kosinski has already made one of the best films of the year, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, and now delivers another one of the best of the summer with this enticing concept and great performances.
‘The Guardian’: Hemsworth gives a good and creepy performance, and Teller dares to follow the script to the letter, but after the concept of the story expands to feature-length length, the film doesn’t seem to know how to play out.
