The CEO of Illumination Pictures, the company responsible for producing ‘Super Mario Bros.: The Movie’ Chris Meledandri recently gave an interview to the media in which he talked about his views on ‘Super Mario Bros. The Movie’, and expressed strong support for the choice of “Star-Lord” Chris Pratt to play Mario .
Chris Meledandri said in an interview: “Chris Pratt was chosen because we thought he could play Mario, and we’ve done 15 takes so far, and we’re three-quarters of the way through the film, and I’m sitting here saying I love his performance as Mario, and I think we’re going to do a good job, and Chris Pratt’s performance I think we’re going to do a great job and Chris Pratt is doing a great job.
‘Super Mario Bros.: The Movie’ is co-produced by Nintendo and Illumination, the renowned animation company that produced the ‘Minions’ series, with legendary Nintendo game producers Shigeru Miyamoto and Chris Meledandri will serve as co-producers.
Previously, Nintendo has confirmed to the public in the Mario movie, Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong. Seth Rogen plays Donkey Kong.
‘Super Mario Bros.: The Movie’ is expected to be released in 2023.
