According to media Deadline, “Downton Abbey” “Beauty and the Beast” actor Dan Stevens has joined “Son of Kong” as the star.
“Son of Kong” has Adam Wingard returning to direct (he previously collaborated with Stevens on “The Guest”), the title has not yet been named, the plot is unknown, and it can only be confirmed that a new round of monster wars is about to begin.
It is reported that the film will be in Queensland, Australia this summer, and the Australian and Queensland governments will give the film nearly $15 million in tax incentives and subsidies.
It is worth mentioning that “Godzilla vs Kong” and “Kong: Skull Island” were both filmed on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
“Godzilla vs Kong” was launched simultaneously in Northern America theaters + streaming media a year ago. During the epidemic, the box office performed well, with a global box office of $468 million and Northern America $100 million.
