Danny Huston joins new reboot of ‘The Crow‎’, filming has already started in the Czech Republic

A new reboot of the classic cult film ‘The Crow’ began shooting in the Czech Republic, and announced that Danny Huston (‘Yellowstone’ ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’) joined the cast in an undisclosed role.

The film stars Bill Skarsgård and FKA Twigs, directed by Rupert Sanders (‘Ghost in the Shell’ ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’) and written by Zach Baylin (‘King Richard’).

This new version has been in development for more than a decade, much change, the last star and director is Jason Momoa and Corin Hardy, once scheduled for release in 2019, but due to creative differences and funding problems ultimately failed to shoot.

The original 1994 version starred Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee, and was based on a comic strip created by James O’Barr about a rock musician and his fiancée whose car breaks down on the road and the two are assaulted and killed by a gang of thugs, after which the man is revived by a raven and begins to take revenge on his abusers.

The film performed well at the box office, gaining many accolades and followers for its gothic, rock and anti-hero qualities, while the accidental death of 28-year-old Brandon Lee on the set of the film in 1993 was a saddening mapping to the film.

‘The Crow’ released three movie sequels in 1996, 2000 and 2005, and also a related TV series.
