David Gordon Green’s itinerary in the past few years has almost been filled with the sequel of the horror film series.
But obviously, he still has enough space to make other non-horror types of works.
“Deadline” exclusively disclosed today that David Gordon Green will direct a biographical film about the founder, Walt Disney, for Disney Pictures.
However, the film mainly describes the process of Walt Disney overseeing the construction of “Disneyland”, and is expected to only be launched exclusively on Disney+.
This film is also a Walt Disney-related adaptation film that Disney Pictures plans to launch again after “Saving Mr. Banks” who tells the story behind “Mary Poppins”.
Evan Spiliotopoulos, who wrote the 2017 live-action “Beauty and the Beast” and “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure” for Disney Pictures, will be responsible for the script.
Jason Reed, producer of the live-action version of “Mulan”, is the producer of the film.
It is reported that Reed has spent a year developing this project before submitting a proposal to Disney Pictures.
