DC can’t save Superman? Marvel director Steven DeKnight wants to take over “Superman”

Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel” was released in 2013, and it successfully restarted DCEU after Nolan’s “Dark Knight” trilogy. DCEU stumbled to 2022 due to internal and external troubles.

However, 9 years later, “Superman 2” has not seen us for a long time, which also caused fans to gradually lose their expectations.

Even Superman’s actor Henry Cavill said that Warner had never told him about the plan for “Man of Steel 2.”

Especially after Zack Snyder left, Cavill and DC also moved away, and the “Superman” series seemed to be refrigerated by Warner.

There have been recent rumors that Warner will replace Superman with Sasha Calle’s new Supergirl.

Even the director of Marvel next door couldn’t stand it because he was so calm about his superhero. Warner really angered the DC fans.

Recently, the Marvel producer publicly stated in the media that if Warner is unwilling to shoot “Superman”, then let them do it!

“Daredevil” producer Steven DeKnight recently publicly called Warner, claiming that he is unwilling to let the “Superman” series remain so idle, and that he is willing to organize personnel to shoot a new “Superman” movie.

The producer said: “I will shoot the Superman movie of my dreams. Henry Cavill is the only candidate for the body of steel. I can’t think of anyone other than him who can fly in the sky. He is so charming and perfect. It’s unique.”

And when asked who would become the villain of this film, he said: “I choose Brainiac, I love him. Throughout the previous movies, we will see the smartest man on earth (Lex Luthor), the powerful Monsters (Doomsday), evil gens (Dru-Zod), they all have the same shortcomings, that is, they only focus on one-way power, but Brainiac is different. He is not only the highest intelligence in the universe, but also has a strong combat power. Only his opponent can show the power of Superman.”

When talking about the possible replacement of Superman by Superwoman, the producer said: “I have also read the latest news. I can only say that if it is true, I am sorry. Superman is not only a comic book character, but he has far more power. In a certain role, he inspires a generation to become a better person. Now some companies only use him as a tool to make money. Everything is judged at the box office. This is stupid and helpless.”

Today, there is still no news that Henry Cavill may return to DC, and we don’t know if we will still see this Superman in the future.

The Superwoman played by Sasha Calle will appear in “The Flash” on November 4, 2022.
