Warner and DC are currently developing a solo movie “Black Canary” that will be launched on HBO Max.
Jurnee Smollett played this role in “Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey” and will return to appear in the new film this time.
As an extra part of “Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey”, this film will also have characters such as Harley Quinn, Huntress, and Cassandra Cain.
Jurnee Smollett confirmed the news on Twitter, “The canary is out! I am very excited to embark on this exciting journey with my soul sister”.
“Soul Sisters” refers to Misha Green, who is also the producer of the film with Jurnee.
The two series “Batgirl” and “Blue Beetle” have also been approved and will be launched on HBO Max by then.
