In April this year, the new DC film “Wonder Twins”, which was officially announced as a project, was urgently stopped by Warner.
The film has just confirmed its male and female protagonists and is now on hold indefinitely.
As for the reasons why the film was shelved, there are roughly two reasons for media analysis.
The first is that the audience for the video is too niche.
Newly merged Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav has demanded that DC films should now be theatrical first, and that the idea for the film was “too niche”.
Another source said the cost of the film was about $75 million, but Zaslav believes that this cost is too high for streaming media.
He wants the cost to be kept below $35 million.
Therefore, the film was shelved.
