Disney Animation unveiled the first look at its newest series ‘Iwájú’ at D23! Iwájú is set in a futuristic Lagos, Nigeria and features “deep themes of class, innocence and challenging the status quo.”
The series is produced by Disney Animation in collaboration with Kugali, a rare collaboration with an outside studio. It was first announced back in 2020.
Kugali took to Instagram to announce the secret that they’ve been holding “for over a year.”
This sci-fi series is set to debut next year on Disney+.
