Netflix’s phenomenal Korean drama “Squid Game” launched last year is very popular around the world, and the show was once the most watched series on Netflix. Recently, the director of the show said that he is working on a new script.
“Squid Game” tells the story of hundreds of people who are trapped in their lives and participate in 6 survival games for 45.6 billion won in prize money.

Because the play contains a lot of bloody and violent scenes such as being shot in the head and organ harvesting, after the broadcast, many schools in the UK, Belgium and other regions sent letters to warn parents not to let their children watch “Squid Game”.
The show’s director, Dong-hyuk Hwang, recently stated that he already has a 25-page script, tentatively titled “Killing Old People Club”, inspired by a novel by Umberto Eco, but he did not give the title , the release date of the film has not been announced.
Dong-hyuk Hwang: “Killing Old People Club” will definitely be “another controversial movie” that will be more violent than “Squid Game”.
He joked that after the film came out, he might have to hide from the elderly.
It’s also been revealed that Dong-hyuk Hwang will also be writing the highly anticipated second season of “Squid Game”, which he hopes will be available on Netflix by the end of 2024.
