In 2019, the 20th theatrical version of “Dragon Ball Super: Broly” (ドラゴンボール超 ブロリー) of Toriyama Akira’s classic work “Dragon Ball” broke 100 million U.S. dollars in global box office, and North America made 30.71 million U.S. dollars.
This achievement has greatly inspired TOEI ANIMATION CO., LTD., who recently announced that they will launch a new theatrical version of “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” in 2022. The subtitle does not conceal their ambitions.
The currently known information is: Toriyama Akira will serve as the screenwriter for this theatrical version.
Masako Nozawa and Ryo Horikawa continue to voice Son Gokû and Vegeta, and the plot is kept secret for the time being.
On October 7 this year, TOEI ANIMATION CO., LTD. will bring “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” to the Comic Con Comic Con exhibition in New York, and further information will be announced at that time.
