The well-known vampire movie ‘Let The Right One In’ launched a drama version and released an official trailer, which will be broadcast on Showtime on October 7th.
Inspired by John Ajvide Lindqvist‘s original 2004 novel, the series follows a father and his vampire daughter as they return home to New York City to find a cure for her illness.
Mark and his daughter Eleanor’s lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire.
Seemingly frozen in time at the age of 12, Eleanor has lived a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive.
Now they’ve returned home to New York City, desperate to find a cure.
Inspired by the acclaimed Swedish novel and film, their emotionally charged and terrifying story turns a naturalistic lens on human frailty, strength, and compassion.
Demián Bichir stars as Mark, while Madison Taylor Baez stars as Eleanor. The series cast also includes Anika Noni Rose, Grace Gummer, Ian Foreman, Kevin Carroll, Nick Stahl, and Jacob Buster. Recurring cast members include Željko Ivanek, Fernanda Andrade, Jammie Saito, and Josh Wingate.
Showtime subscribers who love “Dexter” and “Yellowjackets” will probably find something to like with “Let The Right One In.”
