The new true crime drama “The Girl From Plainville” starring Elle Fanning has released an official trailer, “The Case That Left Us Too Many Questions”, which will be broadcast on Hulu on the 29th.
Chloë Sevigny, Colton Ryan, Cara Buono and more also star in this adaptation of the “Esquire” article, which focuses on a controversial true case.
In 2014, 18-year-old Coco (Ryan) was found dead from carbon monoxide poisoning in his car.
Because he suffered from depression and attempted suicide/suicide, the police initially judged it to be suicide, but later investigation found that his 17-year-old girlfriend Carter (Fanning) repeatedly encouraged him to self-terminate with text messages.
The judge convicted Carter of manslaughter after investigating numerous text messages, emails, and phone calls between the pair and learning that both were prescribed psychiatric drugs.
