At 3 o’clock this morning, director Baz Luhrmann shared on Twitter a forward-looking clip of the unnamed Elvis biopic.
Austin Butler will play the “King of Rock” Elvis Presley, and Tom Hanks will play Elvis’ agent Colonel Tom Parker in this film.
The story will explore the complex relationship between Presley and Parker over 20 years.
During this period, Presley went from rising to becoming an unprecedented superstar. The cultural landscape of the United States has also evolved, and the age of innocence has gradually passed away.
The film will be released in the United States on June 24, 2022.
