“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” Northern America’s three-peat last weekend, fetched $31.6 million, down 48.8% from last week. The new film “Downton Abbey: A New Era” fetched $16.02 million.
“Everything Everywhere All at Once”, starring Michelle Yeoh, accumulated $52.26 million in Northern America, surpassing “Uncut Gems” to become the highest-grossing work on A24Northern America.
“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” Northern America has accumulated a total of $342 million, surpassing “The Batman” as the highest-grossing film in Northern America this year, with a global total of $803 million.
“Downton Abbey: A New Era”‘s $16.02 million opening score was nearly half that of “Downton Abbey”‘s $31 million.
According to the survey, more than 50% of the audience of “Downton Abbey: A New Era” are over the age of 55, which also explains the reason why the film’s box office is not as good as overdue.
The film performed relatively well outside of Northern America, earning $35.7 million in its opening weekend and a global total of $51.7 million.
Another new film is the horror film “Men” released by A24. The new film from “Ex Machina” director Alex Garland, which opened at only $3.3 million, ranked fifth.
The film has a freshness rating of 75% on Rotten Tomatoes, but the CinemaScore is only D+, and the next box office is not optimistic.
“The Bad Guys” came in third with $6.1 million, Northern America with $74.4 million and $182 million globally.
“Sonic the Hedgehog 2” came in fourth with $3.9 million, with Northern America accumulating $194 million and the world accumulating $375 million.
