Exquisite stills of ‘My Happy Marriage’ starring Meguro Ren revealed

On February 17, the official website of the movie ‘My Happy Marriage’ released a large number of beautiful stills to give viewers a month’s preview of the fantasy and pure love atmosphere between Kiyoka Kudo and Miyo Saimori in the overhead setting of the movie.

The movie ‘My Happy Marriage’ is based on the popular manga of the same name, and the original series has sold a cumulative total of 5 million copies.

Set in the atmosphere of the Meiji and Taisho periods, the film tells the story of Kiyoka Kudo (Meguro Ren), a cold-hearted soldier who is rumored to be in love with the ill-fated Miyo Saimori (Mio Imada), who is married before falling in love.

Miyo Saimori, the daughter of a famous family of supernatural powers in the imperial capital, has not inherited any abilities and is treated like a servant by her stepmother and half-sister.

However, she should have gotten married a long time ago, but the marriage contract is with Kiyoka Kudo, the legendary cold and ruthless head of the family who has the same psychic ability.

Miyo Saimori, who has nowhere else to go, finds out that Kiyoka Kudo is not as cold and heartless as he is rumored to be during his time in the Kudo household.

Moreover, Kiyoka Kudo feels that Miyo Saimori is different from the previous fiancés who approached him because of his looks and family background, and gradually opens his tightly closed heart.

The movie ‘My Happy Marriage’ is directed by Ayuko Tsukahara, who directed the topical Japanese drama ‘Unnatural’ and ‘La Grande Maison Tokyo’, and stars Meguro Ren alone, with Mio Imada, Keisuke Watanabe, Oshiro Maeda, Ryusei Onishi, Akari Takaishi and others.

The film will be released in Japan on March 17, 2023, and the anime of the same name has been scheduled to air in July 2023.
