Searchlight has secured worldwide distribution rights to the social thriller “Fresh” starring Sebastian Stan and Daisy Edgar-Jones.
“Fresh” will be available on Hulu on March 4 in the U.S. and later on the corresponding Disney streaming platform in other regions. “Fresh” will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival next week.
The film tells of Noa, frustrated with dating apps that only bring in crappy and boring dates, and gives him her phone number after meeting the awkward and charming Steve at the grocery store one day.
A later bar date made her feel like she had found a real connection with the cosmetic surgeon.
Noa accepts Steve’s invitation for the weekend, only to discover that her new lover has been hiding some unusual indulgences.
This is Mimi Cave’s first feature film to direct, with Lauryn Kahn writing the script and Adam McKay producing.
