On November 23, according to foreign media news, Disney and WarnerMedia signed a streaming media sharing agreement, and the two will share the streaming rights of the film produced by Fox (now 20th Century Pictures).
The agreement will start with “Ron’s Gone Wrong”, which will be launched on December 15 this year, and will end at the end of 2022.
During the period, the films produced by 20th Century Pictures and Searchlight Pictures will be broadcast online on HBO Max, Disney+ and Hulu.
According to this agreement, Disney agreed to expedite the listing of its works on HBO/HBO Max under the premise of abiding by the previously announced exclusive window period for the theaters.
After the movie’s advertising exemption period ends, the two companies will also share some of the advertising rights of Fox movies.
It is reported that after the conclusion of the agreement, Disney has no intention of renewing the contract.
