Recently, Funcom released a trailer for the open world survival online game ‘Dune: Awakening’, which has a significant difference in graphics style from the movie version. The movie ‘Dune 2’ has opened and will be released on November 17 next year, the release date of this game has not yet been announced.
The game’s introduction claims a rise from survival to dominance in a massive, seamless Arrakis planet shared by thousands of players.’ Dune: Awakening’ combines the grit and creativity of survival games with the social interactivity of large, persistent multiplayer to create a unique and ambitious open-world survival MMO.
As you can see from the trailer, the game presents a very realistic Arrakis planet, a spice mining car swallowed by Sandworm, the voice-over reads the classic line from the ‘Dune’ novel “fear is the mind-killer”, and then the protagonist rushes towards the Sandworm.
