“Gaston”: “Beauty and the Beast” prequel drama reveals new developments, Rita Ora joins the crew

A few days ago, the spin-off series “Gaston” based on Disney’s classic animation IP “Beauty and the Beast” revealed the cast again. Rita Ora will join the cast to play a fugitive with amazing abilities who carries secrets that may affect the entire kingdom.

The series “Gaston” will be a musical limited series with a total of 8 episodes.

It was previously confirmed that Luke Evans and Josh Gad, who played Gaston and LeFou, will return to starring in the 2017 live-action film “Beauty and the Beast.”

Briana Middleton is the new lead actress, playing LeFou’s legal sister Tilly.

“Gaston” will focus on Gaston and LeFou, telling his story before he met Belle.

Gaston, LeFou and Tilly team up on an unexpected journey full of romance, comedy and adventure.

As the secrets of the past are uncovered, the dangers of the present intensify, as old friends and new enemies reveal that this familiar kingdom hides many untold stories.

The return of Luke Evans has greatly increased the expectations of the show.

Luke Evans was originally a musical actor, and in 2013 he attracted attention for his role as the villain Shaw in “Fast and Furious 6”.

Later, Luke Evans played the villain Gaston in the live-action version of “Beauty and the Beast” in 2017. He was dubbed a “cute and charming villain” and became popular because of this, becoming a sexy male god who takes all men and women.

The first episode of “Gaston” has been confirmed to be directed by Liesl Tommy, with production scheduled to begin in spring 2022.
