According to media reports, British director Guy Ritchie crime comedy “The Gentlemen” is expected to be adapted into an American drama, and Netflix is in talks to operate.
Guy Ritchie will direct the first two episodes and co-wrote the pilot episode script while serving as executive producer.
“The Gentlemen” opens in North America in January 2020, starring Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Colin Farrell, Hugh Grant and more.
It tells the story of American Mickey Pearson who built a lucrative drug empire in London. When news of his desire to retire and monetize it came out, conspiracy, calculation, bribery and blackmail were triggered. A bloody battle.
