HBO Max has announced the renewal of its Japanese/English crime drama series “Tokyo Vice,” which focuses on Tokyo’s yakuza, for Season 2.
The show’s first season already started in April, “Tokyo Vice” stars Ansel Elgort, Ken Watanabe, Rinko Kikuchi, Rachel Keller, Ella Rumpf, Tomohisa Yamashita, Hideaki Ito, Sho Kasamatsu and more! J.T. Rogers is the creator and writer, and Michael Mann (“Heat”) is directing the first episode.
The story is based on a documentary by American journalist Jake Adelstein, who tells the story of the sinister life of a Japanese yakuza organization from his point of view, “where people and things are not what they appear to be, and will reveal an unprecedented look at Japanese culture.
