The live-action series based on the game “A Plague Tale” will be directed by Mathieu Turi and will be filmed in France, according to a new report from the French film site “AlloCiné”.
The content of the film’s French scenes was in charge of Merlin Productions. The director Mathieu Turi was the assistant director of Quentin “Inglourious Basterds” and Luc Besson “Lucy”, and then directed two two well-received horror films “Hostile” and “Meander”.
Fabrice Renault, head of Merlin Productions, confirmed that Asobo Studio, the developer of “A Plague Tale”, has received Asobo Studio to shoot in the United States. However, Asobo responded that he wanted to produce the live-action series in France.
“A Plague Tale” was released in May 2019, landed on the Steam platform, and received high praise from players. It is currently rated as “extraordinary praise”, and the game fully supports Steam Deck.
A sequel to “A Plague Tale”, “A Plague Tale: Requiem”, is in the works, and it is expected to be released this year.
