Sony’s game ‘Horizon Zero Dawn’ is planned to be made into a live-action series in development at Netflix, with Sony Pictures TV division and PlayStation Pictures also involved, created by Steve Blackman (‘The Umbrella Academy’).
Horizon Zero Dawn’ is described as “an ambitious sci-fi adventure series set 1,000 years in the future, a strange and beautiful world filled with primitive tribes and high-tech machines, created on the remains of contemporary America – the ‘Old Ones’ on top.
The catastrophe that destroyed our world has long been forgotten, but when those once peaceful machines mysteriously began to hunt and kill all life.
A young fringe Aloy discovers that the only way to save her world is to try to unravel what’s happening to ours.”
In ‘Horizon Zero Dawn’, the player controls the protagonist, Aloy, a female hunter living in a world overrun by machines. She can use long-range weapons, cold weapons, spears or stealth tactics to fight against robotic creatures or other enemies and loot resources from the remains, gain new abilities through the skill tree, and explore the open world for main and side quests, uncovering her own identity as the plot develops. The mystery of your life is revealed as the plot develops.
