Horror movie masterpiece “The Thing‎” will be re-released to commemorate its 40th anniversary

Released in 1982, “The Thing‎” is one of the masterpieces of horror film master John Carpenter. A few days ago, Universal Pictures decided to re-release the film in Northern America theaters on June 19 and June 22 to commemorate the film’s 40th anniversary.

The story takes place at a scientific research station in Antarctica. A group of American scientific expeditions went to Antarctica. On the way, they encountered Norwegians who were chasing a husky. They were curious about this bizarre round-up.

That night, several team members and dogs were attacked by the husky dog, and the other team members were only alerted that unknown objects were attached to their companions, but no one could tell who was normal.

The film is a remake of “The Thing From Another World‎” directed by Howard Hawks in 1951. However, the story of the film has been greatly improved compared to the original film.

Many famous Hollywood directors are fans of the film. Jeffrey Jacob Abrams once said, “The make-up in “The Thing‎” is incredible and the visual effects are stunning.

The director uses these elements to completely render the film a tense drama of isolation and paranoia of fear.”
