The biopic of the magician Houdini, which has been shelved for several years, finally has a new dynamic.
It is reported that the film will be produced under the umbrella of Paramount, and “Transformers” producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura will escort the film.
In addition, “Beyblade” writers James Gavin and Neil Wildner will also join the crew to write the script. So far, the film’s synopsis has not been revealed.
The film is based on the best-selling biography “The Secret Life of Houdini: The Making of America’s First Superhero”.
And Houdini himself is not just a magician who performs escape techniques, he is also a paranormal enthusiast who likes to investigate and study the unsolved mysteries of the world.
Houdini was born on March 24, 1874 in Budapest, Hungary, of Jewish background, real name Erich Wise.
In 1891, he officially became a professional magician and began calling himself Harry Houdini.
At first, Houdini performed some tricks related to playing cards. He began to perform escape techniques in 1899 and became famous in battle.
He then became a world-renowned escape master, and he still has a huge influence to this day.
The film was prepared under Paramount’s banner for several years, and Dean Parisot and Daniel Trachtenberg were contacted by Paramount as director candidates.
There is currently no director candidate for the film.
