Hoyeon Jung (“Squid Game”) joins the Apple thriller series “Disclaimer”, which includes Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Alfonso Cuarón wrote & directed.
Based on Renee Knight’s novel of the same name, “Disclaimer” follows Blanchett’s Catherine Ravenscroft, a successful and well-respected TV documentary journalist dedicated to exposing the veiled transgressions of some prestigious institutions.
And one day Ravenscroft starts reading a fascinating novel by a widower (Kline) as a bedside story, and is horrified.
She finds herself a key character in a story written about a past she wishes to bury.
Hoyeon Jung plays Kim, an ambitious, hard-working, people-pleaser who knows working for Ravenscroft will be her big break.
Both Cuarón and Blanchett serve as executive producers, with Cuarón’s longtime partner Emmanuel Lubezki and Bruno Delbonnel serving as photographers.
