James Gunn recently accepted an interview with the media, in which he responded to questions about the spinoff of DC’s “Suicide Squad” and said that it is still associated with the movie universe.
James Gunn said that while a “Suicide Squad” spinoff is already in the works, what exactly it will be can’t be said. However, the new series will still be tied to the Cinematic Universe, which is now in a very early stage of development.
“Peacemaker,” the first spinoff of “Suicide Squad” starring John Cena, has aired for 5 episodes and has been well received. James Gunn said that a second season is very likely.
