DC Pictures co-CEO James Gunn recently announced the DC universe “reboot” plan, July 11, 2025 release of ‘Superman: Legacy’ will become the opening piece.
Recently he said in social media when answering questions from netizens, Zack Snyder had him and talked about this reboot plan, and the other side gave him support.
As for fans calling for Netflix to acquire the “Zack Snyder universe” (SnyderVerse), Gunn said not only has Netflix never expressed interest, but Zack Snyder has no interest in doing so either.
“I have to say, this has got to be the weirdest label ever,” Gunn said in response to a fan who called for the sale of the Zack Snyder universe to Netflix, “1. Netflix hasn’t expressed any interest (although we’ve discussed other things) Zack hasn’t expressed any interest and he’s happy with what he’s doing (yes, we’ve talked about that too).”
“Zack Snyder reached out to me and was supportive of my choice,” Gunn added, “He’s a great guy, and again, he seems very happy with the massive world he’s building. (Working with Netflix on films like ‘Rebel Moon’)”
“We know we can’t make everyone happy, but can assure you that everything we do is about telling a good story. We know the DC characters you cherish, and we cherish our lives,” Gunn previously tweeted.
