Takeshi Kitano is a well-known Japanese director, actor, and TV presenter.
In 1989, he directed and starred in his debut film “Violent Cop”, which won the Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Rookie Awards at the Japan Film Awards that year.
In 2001, he starred in the last work “バトル・ロワイアル” directed by Kinji Fukasaku before his death.
In 2003, Takeshi Kitano won the best director award at the Venice Film Festival for “Zatoichi”.
