“Once” “Begin Again” “Sing Street” director John Kani will direct the biopic of the legendary band Bee Gees.
John Logan (“Gladiator””Hugo””The Aviator”) wrote the screenplay, and this is Kani’s first musical biopic.
The film, at Paramount, was originally set to be directed by Kenneth Branagh, who dropped out last year due to scheduling conflicts.
The Bee Gees band, composed of three brothers Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb, and Maurice Gibb, was established in 1958 and has released more than 1,000 songs including “How Deep Is Your Love” as representative works.
Many of these songs topped the charts, won the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution, etc., and were inducted into the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
