According to media reports, the film “Joker”, which has been nominated for 11 Oscars and won awards for acting and soundtrack, finally ushered in the sequel “Joker 2”.
Warner Bros. has already received a first draft of the script for “Joker 2,” and the film is expected to begin filming sometime in 2023, according to people familiar with the matter.
“The Hollywood Reporter” first reported in 2019 that “Joker 2” was in development, saying that director Todd Phillips immediately found Toby Emmerich, the head of Warner’s film department, after the film set a box office record in North America in October, and proposed development DC character origin stories, and Todd Phillips is expected to continue as director for the sequel.
But both Todd Phillips and Warner Bros. denied or denied the claim at the time, emphasizing that there was no serious discussion of a sequel project.

Although Deadline denied the news in the report, it did not rule out the possibility that “Joker” will launch a sequel in the future.
