“Jurassic World: Dominion” reviews after the release of a serious decline in word of mouth, Rotten Tomatoes fresh rating fell from 88% to 39%. The film will be released in the mainland this Friday.
Critics said that the film uninterestingly follows the series of IP consistent formula, the plot like a running account can not make the audience impressed, simply piling up special effects and visual impact makes people feel bored, overall just a pleasing audience, hoping to be recognized entertainment film.
Some excerpts.
Deep Focus Review: Enough to attract the audience’s attention, but after watching or once you think about it, there is nothing to recall.
Showbiz 411: Laura Dern and Bryce Dallas Howard kind of hold the movie together. Howard suddenly becomes an action star, she’s glamorous; Laura Dern resembles an authority figure; Sam Neill seems like an uncle who’s not short on patience but wants to leave.
“The Seattle Times”: A film that is insecure in its own right, strangely seeking the approval of both audiences and Spielberg (who executive produced the film).
MovieWeb: The script is awful, but the CG-boosted action sequences are heart-stopping, and my dissatisfaction is mitigated by the sheer entertainment value – who doesn’t love watching pterodactyls rip apart airplanes?
Below the Line: Said to be about a world invaded by dinosaurs, it turns out to be a mediocre James Bond-style movie that just happens to have dinosaurs in it and their scenes are uninteresting and uninspired.
Stuff.co.nz: The script and pacing are a bit messy, with a lot of scenes that take the audience’s breath away and make them happy, and a lot of impressive and original images.
Fantastica Daily: It’s fun to watch, then falls flat when you stop and look back, but thanks to the return of the “Jurassic Park” trio of Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, most of the flaws can be forgiven.
“Time”: The point of entertainment is not to exhaust you.
The AU Review: Like “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” the third installment has nothing to do with the theme of “Jurassic Park,” cloning and creating dinosaurs? Of course, no problem! Doing the same to humans? That’s too much!
Rue Morgue: Alan and Ellie’s germinating romance feels like unnecessary fan service, distracting Jurassic fans from what they really want to see.
Culture Mix: The story line is bloated and flimsy, crammed with too much stuff, confusing, and disappointing, with too many weird jokes and not enough dinosaur action sequences.
