Kate Winslet will follow ‘Mare of Easttown’ with a new HBO limited series starring Hernan Diaz’s new 2022 bestselling novel ‘Trust’ into a drama version.
The show is starring Winslet & producer, with Diaz himself as executive producer.
‘Trust’ is about a wealthy financier who, dissatisfied with the portrayal of him and his wife in a novel, asks his secretary to write a memoir of his autobiography on his behalf, wanting to set the record straight.
But the secretary soon began to feel uneasy at the discovery that he was rewriting history, and his wife’s place in it.
Written from the perspectives of four people and in four genres, the novel is described as a narrative puzzle that subverts the notion of “truth” and “who defines truth”.
