Katherine Waterston joins Jodie Comer in the thriller ‘The End We Start From’, playing a character named “O”.
‘The End We Start From’ is directed by Mahalia Belo (‘The Long Song’) and written by Alice Birch (‘Normal People’ ‘Lady Macbeth’). The film is based on the novel of the same name by Megan Hunter and produced by Benedict Cumberbatch’s production company SunnyMarch and BBC Film, among others.
The film follows a woman who gives birth to her first child, Z, after a mysterious environmental crisis leaves London flooded.
A few days later they are forced to leave their homes in search of a safe haven, a journey full of fear and wonder as they keep moving places in the chaos of the situation.
‘The End We Start From’ explores the challenges of a new mother in a terrifying environment where the familiar world becomes dangerous and unstable, people become refugees and reality falls apart, but new life and new hope fill the family with love.
